Outrageous tells the story of female impersonator Robin Turner and shizophrenic Liza Connor who share an apartment in Toronto in the mid seventies. As Robin follows his dream of being a performer who uses his own voice, Lisa struggles with the voices that haunt her. Through their friendship and growth together they learn they need each other to survive, that together they are a family. The world of tolerance and acceptance is changing for people like Robin and Liza and the world has to change too.
